It matters not whether medicine is old or new,
so long as it brings about a cure.
It matters not whether theories are Eastern or Western,
so long as they prove to be true.

Mission

Helping owners to treat their whole pet's indiviual needs using the most appropiate combination of conventional and alternative medicines.

My philosophy is to offer personalized service for your pet.  My approach to animal health is simple; your pet is a valued friend and family member in need of treatment, not simply a medical problem to be solved.  My goal is to cure, as well as to prevent disease.  To do this, I evaluate and treat your pet from a "whole animal" perspective.  My holistic approach recognizes the fact that outward symptoms exhibited by a pet are just the tip of the iceberg.  I do not want to offer a "quick fix" to your pet's problem, I want to get to the source of it, and hopefully prevent it from reoccurring.  I view your pet's systems and organs as closely integrated parts of the body, not as separate entities existing in isolation.  Integrative medicine is a blend of holistic and conventional methods of evaluation and therapies.  It allows us to use the best tools and therapies found in conventional veterinary medicine with the comprehensive perspective of the holistic approach and to administer alternative therapies when appropriate.  To seek holistic medicine for your pet is to begin a journey towards healing and wellness.  Because your pet's health problems usually develop over a period of time, the process of returning your pet to health will also require time.  Therefore, commitment and patience are critical to the success of your pet's management.  I am committed to providing you and your pet with my best effort during the healing process.  You are encouraged to be an active participant by learning as much as you can about the treatment I use, keeping detailed records about your pet's progress, and communicating your needs and concerns to me.

Goals

  • It is my goal to be a bridge for local vets to learn about alternative therapies.
  • To help local vets and their clients, working with them as a team to achieve complete health and give good quality of life to their clients' companion animals.
  • To use my advanced training in alternative therapies to better augment their treatments and contribute to the pet's quality of life.
  • To be available for consultation to both vets and pet owners interested in using holistic approaches.
  • To increase awareness of preventive medicine measures through nutritional counseling and vitamin/mineral supplementation to vets and pet owners.
  • To further my education in alternative therapies so I can contribute to the betterment of my companion animal lives.
  • To take continuing education courses to expand my knowledge base and be up to date on techniques and therapies to offer to vets and pet owners.
  • To provide consultations to vets and pet owners via:
    1. Local vet offices-serving their clientele.
    2. At my home under certain circumstances.
    3. Through use of phone and email.
